Tapestry of Change and Joy

Based in part on 2 Cor.:

Freedom Gospel Church - Revelation Rising In Praise

Tapestry of Change and Joy
by Michael Romani

Praising our Lord and God in song and dance
Loving the happenstance of our second chance
Our God of second chances always there and willing
To bring our lives into accord and ever swelling

Loving the living of always giving and in our full joy
Serving God's people taken in love and not to annoy
But instead to anoint the lives around us with love
Sprinkling the gifts of salvation and hope from above

This is the day that our sweet Lord has given and made
Like a tapestry of change each day in passing display
Brings it changes, challenges and triumphs along our way
All of this to His greater glory lived in our everyday

Testifying the truth of faithfulness in our daily walk
Sometimes struggling but always trying to walk our talk
Praising His names in all of the facets like worthy jewels
Knowing reliance on our own wisdom humbles us as fools

I know this deeply as I crawl to my knees in prayer
Seeking shelter and healing in avoidance of death's stare
I need a strength that surpasses my own as I can barely breath
Believing in the truth of resurrection, I would not deceive

Realizing there are others in this world who need God more
I turn my focus again outward to all who need and implore
Dear God hold this world in your healing hands of sweet love
Make this world we've live in much more like that above

Holding fast to the Gospel preached we will be the doers
Unafraid of those who act as the world's shakers and movers
Ever pressing onward to always best fight the good fight
Burning bright into the world's night we act as guiding light
