Finding Restorative Balance

Lately, though taking quite a hit in my life, I have also found through the good times and lessons given and learned some hints at new approaches for my health and peace.  For that, I will always be eternally grateful.

Finding Restorative Balance
by Michael Romani

Taking small changes to great effect
Learning to allow mind and body to reconnect
What I once spoke of slightly in perjorative
I am finding to bring balance and restorative

Never one to relax, I now need to de-stress
In so many ways, I am changing my address
More into one focused and actually being
Then always doing and always carelessly seeing

Applying bits of Tai Chi and yoga as corrective
Finding hidden treasures in my new perspective
I hope to fill my moments spent in happiness
And more joyfully find my way to bliss

Life is, as always, mysterious and beautiful
I wish only to reconnect with what's wonderful
Becoming more fluid and aware of life's causes
While taking the time for precious pauses

Slow and steady truly wins life's sacred race
It is just one of those changes we need to embrace
Giving ourselves time and space to reflectively react
Calming down from the overwhelm that distracts

Thoughtfulness brings clarity and deliberate intention
Things much needed in my internal go at reinvention
And though much of this differs from my conventions
It has become useful in improving my conditions
