Some try to push Christians out of the public square. That won’t be done.
What Does It Look Like? by Michael Romani What does it look in this crumbled society To find that Christians have imputed notoriety Confronted by a kingdom fill with much error A bringer of much carnage and living terror Do what you will in the midst of stammering I am fully disclosing the truth of the hammering Like Daniel walked into the oven's fire I choose to live by what goodness and God inspire The God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob ascends Reigning over a world from ends to ends Giving the best in everything that we can be Living by the guidance of truth Divinity We refuse steadfastly to cringe and bow down Just as in the past we know who has the true crown Focused on the good that can be done in the Empire Living and doing the will of the living God who inspires Drawing the line in it's last point of re-education We stand fast in the deepest roots of our dedication Resolved into the focus that we'll not be defiled And to our truest principles we are reconciled The world around us wants to tell us not to quietly pray Telling us what to think and do and even what to say I for one will do exactly as my faith teaches and shows me Always true, even if separated from the norm of society I have not given up on walking society back from the brink In total and utter dependence on my Lord for what I think I put this into the every bit of how I act and try to talk Though sometimes imperfect I will stay on this walk Called out and separated as the Church of God's family Proving our best service in deeds not in printed homily We who belong to God are born to live out our best praise And by our example to society, hopeful the tides will raise (c) March 1, 2020 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
