Prevail or Perish, America
by Michael Doyle
We won't keep domestic terrorism blunted
By keeping the American mind stunted
Despite the folly of the Biden Administration
Silencing conservative thought does not help the nation
This unprecedented statist intervention
Defies reason and every rational convention
The Left's turning one event into a Reichstag fire
Is something to be fought against and cannot inspire
The good will of a nation survives despite the choir of voices
Among false journalists and pundits who would deny choices
Ocasio-Cortez brings her own martialed sense of state
Inventing nonexistent threats to keep the People sedate
Officer Sicknick died of sad but natural causes
And this truth cannot be heard even when the din pauses
It serves only as a promotion of self-serving political fictions
That clashes in the cacophony of dishonesty lending to the friction
But not on the basis of the thoughts and words of conservatism
Sleeper Biden feigns his tyranny is fighting against terrorism
While falsely prescribing a fake account of hatred and bigotry
All the while ignoring the well documented facts of video history
This litany ignores ISIS, BLM and the fascists of Antifa as if
It is somehow unnecessary to find the causes and the shift
And as a pointed fingers that seek only to inaccurately blame
Regardless of truth and as if some sort of twisted game
While engaged in a guerilla campaign of shapeless death
Against the law abiding and our officers, taking last breath
While ravaging American citizens and destroying property
As if, to the American People, it isn't very clear to see
That the egging on of Kamala Harris is all in it's un-glory
And is cast aside as impermissible to the Left's strategic story
It's there in its padded account of a existential domestic threat
That rests on Lies not truth and is what's germane, and you can bet
Mere facts fail to hold sway to paid liars in their indifference
While mouthed words are what hold the only point of reference
And while the only matter mouthed aloud is that of white rage
It is an oblique preference in avoiding the print of history's page
The Left has weaponized the full force of the American government
Against the American people with and to its fullest extent
This un-grand testimony is a toll of crass political warfare
That is like the Patriot Act on steroids lacking even styled flair
As a blank check to indiscriminately hound and indoctrinate
Until it bends the will of the People to the almighty state
In an attempt to overrun all against the sadistic mono-party
And refuses to bend knee to an enforced racial hierarchy
The Biden Administration aims its electric eye at me and you
In its naked aggression, asserting power over what's true
When and where simple dissent is painted as somehow terrorism
We find the Left's sense of American state has turned into fascism
This tyrannical overreach denies free thought and its speech
For half of the country as this Trojan horse forces its breech
Advances of AI and all of web of massive digital technology
Should not be forces to cancel out the rest of American history
Going unquietly this free nation hopes this overreaction will relent
And this current administration that will have none of dissent
It has instead asserted its racist anti-racism as its solemn screed
Inclined as it is toward the destruction of every American creed
There is a grievous wrong when federal government seeks to be all
It is as if not a single principle is worth the Left's recall
As federal police on every level have become aptly enlisted
Against every element of liberty that has yet persisted
It's an Orwellian scheme of taking from every crisis, opportunity
To pull down statues and with this swiped attempt to rewrite history
Striking at the hearts, minds and souls of individuals and family
All in the abominable desire to recreate history and country
With our backs pushed hard against the walls of Alinsky's Hell
We must push forward; perish or maybe we yet can prevail
Our country stands for ideals of freedom and of lasting liberty
Freely thought and spoken, or, we shall perish from all of history
