It Comes Down To…

1940s New York Time Zone - Tubular Rings
It Comes Down To...
by Michael Doyle

It comes down to right responsibility
Sown thoughts reaped within our capability
To become the character of our destiny
Though unseen thoughts might disrupt our journey

God thinks highly of us and so should we
Our thoughts determine who we will be
The consequences are up to our own control
By the choices we make for the good of our souls

Change your life by how it is you perceive
As products of choices as we choose to believe
Asking impactful questions over where we'll be lead
Wondering where we'll get to in our heads

Composing our thoughts as spiritually acceptable
Protecting our inner lives guided by what is scriptural
The spirit of God guides our best reality
Built up or torn down in our spirituality

We must think on where our thoughts originate
Before we allow these to become on what we fixate
If thoughts cause guilt and are perhaps depraved
We should push back to the thoughts that have saved

From the sense of being our best instead of doing bad
And wisely seeking the path we should have had
As followers of Jesus, and choosing what will fit
As a healthy choice as appropriately lead by the Holy Spirit

We are the Church and are to be kept separate
Within God's love and not as some persons desperate
Instead led by our Godly walk toward greater purity
Constructive, not destructive, in our integrity

There is a firm line between love and lust
And with it comes the consequences which must trust
Love is the path of God and not the ways of worldly lust
We know this and wait as we know that we must

Love is selfless and not the selfishness to be
Destructive as the price of right-minded responsibility
There is no free love, it's just an absurdity of lies
Not something given but a sin that causes us to die

Lust is the destroyer of all that we might choose to be
Love is peace and lust creates our path of anxiety
We must choose God's counsel if we want peace in our life

First Principles: The Press Is Impotent When It Abandons Itself To Falsehood

“But the fact being once established, that the press is impotent when it abandons itself to falsehood, I leave to others to restore it to its strength, by recalling it within the pale of truth.” – Thomas Jefferson (1805)

Thought For the Day: It Is Easy Enough To Be Friendly To One’s Friends. But To Befriend the One Who Regards Himself As Your Enemy Is the Quintessence of True Religion. The Other Is Mere Business

“It is easy enough to be friendly to one’s friends. But to befriend the one who regards himself as your enemy is the quintessence of true religion. The other is mere business.” – Mahatma Gandhi

Living Days

Evergreen 2023 -Light House In Haven's Foggy Morning
Living Days
by Michael Doyle

The rock of my foundation
Defies natural explanation
But that of the Father's love
Given from Heaven above

My life is filled with thunder
Never pulled down under
But given unfailing grace
Faithful in His loving embrace

There is no failing in compassion
Rain cannot remove this foundation
Trusting that I'll make it though
Filled with more love than I deserve to know

My home will serve the Lord always
In all of our living days
Filled with love and praise
Enough for all within our living days

Thought For the Day: The Principal Goal of Education In the Schools Should Be Creating Men and Women Who Are Capable of Doing New Things, Not Simply Repeating What Other Generations Have Done

“The principal goal of education in the schools should be creating men and women who are capable of doing new things, not simply repeating what other generations have done; men and women who are creative, inventive, and discoverers, who can be critical and verify, and not accept, everything they are offered.” -Jean Piaget, psychologist (9 Aug 1896-1980)

A Mouse Dares To Roar

Mickey Blissfully Unaware

A Mouse Decides To Roar
by Michael Doyle

Consider only what life might become
Live only for the deeds yet to be done
Woman lights the way for her man
And it is his duty to do what he can

How the world is, is a matter of perception
To believe the impossible is not deception
But to reach for the furthest away stars
Fighting for the heavenly cause, no matter how far

To fight the unbeatable foe and not tire
Is the thankless lot for errant knight and squire
The crusade is fought that must yet be fought
To be more noble than is ever rightly sought

However sad the look upon one’s face
Those brave enough to fight are in God’s embrace
One who believes can help others to see and believe
Without even once meaning to deceive

There in the shadowed reflection on the wall
The mouse that roared is ten feet tall
Ennobling all who wish to similarly dream
To become all that they would wish to seem

Thought For the Day: God Used Beautiful Mathematics To Create the World

“God used beautiful mathematics to create the world.” – Paul Dirac

Though Dirac seems to have been an atheist with far too much trust in humanity, he was certainly correct in his premise that the universe is beautifully profound and mathematically sound. I won’t hold against Dirac that he didn’t find much use for empirical observation, spirituality, or poets.

On Being A Knight

Entering Asgard's Realms - Castles Made of Light & Dark
On Being A Knight
by Michael Doyle

Of all the characteristics of being a knight
In a courtyard of perpetual light
One must fast to compose one's fortitude
If a knight errant is to bear right attitude

Forward, the procession moves
To find Don Quixote and then disprove
All the enchantments that affect the curse
And that must be removed by tortured verse

A duel to be fought as if one is brave
In the grievous hope meant to perhaps save
Those whose hearts turn to stone
And by the thoughts that make a knight stand alone

Saints and sons of God walk on their own road
AS do knights errant as their dreams grow old
Too many of these paths have never been walked
But are believed by those listening to what is talked

As all the little birds prefer their own dances
And as guitars are strummed in melodic romances
The water needed must again be poured and carried
While false hopes are lost and again buried
