The Soul's Spring Dream - Family Swim By
End Game

At the base of our society
Is none other than the family
Where better to build a ministry
To make the changes needed for history

It's a struggle in drifting apart
We need to focus on matters of the heart
The stages of life bring hopeful tomorrows
To engender hope instead of sorrows

Everyone has flaws and then some
To find agreement is something awesome
Finding goals and planning together
Is the progression of something better

To know and then to be known
We need to find the love to be shown
Always working to listen in observation
Trusting is built upon that explanation

From this to the dependence and the resilience
Is the best path given in guidance
It's better to be interdependent on each other
Is how we will live and love best together

This sort of splendor is resplendent
The sense of being one, strong in commitment
Standing up in front of God and family
We need a spiritual covenant to love's sanctuary

We need to be felt insistently and much
And to be present in our every touch
It is this feeling that brings intimacy
God's the architect of love's sweet security

Working this system is how to go toward
All of the right things that move us forward
Trust, love, and the traces of true intimacy
Are the push of the pull of our chosen ecstasy

Applying the lessons of life makes the difference
Taking this into play beyond its simple inference
It is a decision that comes from within
Each of us giving our one hundred to be certain

Communication, communication, communication
This is the crux and by all rights, the definition
Of being together, better and lasting forever
This is what it takes for each to be ever so clever

With a cup of coffee, happiness is served
Just another lie brings what is deserved
The weather blows in something strange
Soon it will be that a life will rearrange

Knowing when to step is the secret
Of happy endings never meant to forget
Saying what one thinks and one feels
Is the glue to what truth reveals

The truth of good fiction isn't the plot
It is the knowing of what is best forgot
It's the dreams that are quietly sold
And yet, rarely is it the truth that is told

The crisis we live, repeats like groundhog day
It keeps getting worse day after repeated way
With each misstep, the lessons are learned
In the scars gained and the chances harshly earned

With blinded eye, we see peering into the future
For every moment we have failed to nurture
When crushed dreams crumble in our hands
We reach the point we finally understand

It's in the hopes we live for that we will not stumble
That stop this world from ruin, decay, and crumble
Lived for dreams are the only truth worthwhile
It is our dreams by which we die or live to smile

Otherwise, we burn our world down in flames
A red ruby holds the power of our games
It's in all these things that make us weep
That we find the best dreams that will not keep

A Twist of Darkness

A twist of darkness enters Elven leaves
As evil descends beyond edged beliefs
Seeping into the crevices of life
Receding with peace gradually into strife

It is that begins the origin of the rings
Deemed upon us as all dreamers eagerly cling
Hoping for a tale of Hobbits to unfold
The kind of a story that must be forever told

Learning the secrets of childhood's dreams
Mythic images spring forth on the ink of scenes
Mid-Earth's sage begins the saga once again
This time told from the source where all stories begin

Scribbled notes that were never meant to be seen
Scrawled from the flowing pen of a mortal human being
A tale once read in my childhood and now shared
With the blood of my blood,...
The daughters delivered with care
