We’ll Burn Our Memory

TAO - Fundraiser for Feed A Smile - Pure and I as Winter Dryads Dancing
We'll Burn Our Memory
by Michael Doyle

There is nothing more human
Then knowing that you are broken
As time slips by as it can
And words meander or are unspoken

Time is fleeting and not to squander
Let me entreat you to spend yours well
There are so many paths to wander
As if under life's last cast spell

Fire lights up the night's skies
While we wish things could be undone
The details dance in our eyes
Wishing for one more battle to be won

There are cracks in our armor
That are noticeable but ignored
A weakness exposed when we fall before amour
Though our better senses are left unexplored

Life has its limits, these keep us human
An inner voice calls on me to make it right
Giving my inner essence in all that I can
As I look at you one last time and love your inner light

From the ashes of our bitter defeat
We rise up in the shine of victory
We each have a difference to make on these streets
Calling fire from the sky, we'll burn our memory

With every tomorrow we carry our past
The selected choices come rushing up fast
In choosing yet to once again forget
We live for hope and promise not to regret

Thought For the Day: The Way To Crush the Bourgeoisie Is To Grind Them Between the Millstones of Taxation and Inflation

“The way to crush the bourgeoisie is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation.” – Vladimir Ilyich Lenin (1870-1924)

Make no mistake, this is what some of the Democrats including the Biden Administration are trying to do to the United States of America.

First Principles: The Fundamental Source of All Your Errors, Sophisms, and False Reasonings Is A Total Ignorance of the Natural Rights of Mankind

“The fundamental source of all your errors, sophisms and false reasonings is a total ignorance of the natural rights of mankind. Were you once to become acquainted with these, you could never entertain a thought, that all men are not, by nature, entitled to a parity of privileges.” – Alexander Hamilton, 1775

First Principles: A Free Government, Which of All Others Is Far Most Preferable, Cannot Be Supported Without Virtue

“In a despotic government, the only principle by which the tyrant who is to move the whole machine means to regulate and manage the people is fear, by the servile dread of his power. But a free government, which of all others is far the most preferable, cannot be supported without virtue.”

– Samuel Williams, A Discourse on the Love of our Country, 1774

First Principles: Foreign Influence Is One of the Most Baneful Foes of Republican Government

“Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence, (I conjure you to believe me fellow citizens) the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake; since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of Republican Government.” – George Washington (1796)

As To Heaven, Our Hands Raise

Aurelias - Secret Garden Chapel
As To Heaven, Our Hands Raise
by Michael Doyle

In our Christian legacy
Jesus is our first priority
He is before all other things
And He is for whom we sing

In the beginning was the Word
Before any other thought occurred
Until He came to dwell among us
Giving of Himself for us because

It is by His purpose
And it is for His purpose
As we take our part in History
We must live for His glory

God is the page and the book
There is nowhere else to look
For God is the first and the last
His is the compass and the mast

You cannot separate treasure and heart
God is the center and every other part
Comfortable in our every routine
God is the truth of all we could mean

In this, we live to make the difference
Holding our Lord in greatest reverence
Held as a catalyst to open up our eyes
Giving our love to God without surprise

Knowing that our all belongs to Him
As we glorify Him through praise and hymn
Grace and mercy know the best of our praise
As to Heaven, our hands raise
