She Says...
by Michael Doyle
All the ugly truths
That have tried to push her back
Have tripped her up, since her youth
Until grace gave her all she might lack
Thoughts of how abundance increases
Gave her the hope to move on past
In her story filled with broken pieces
Now she's got peace in her soul and love in her heart
She'll admit to having made some bad choices
As she walked her way past her momentary confusion
Preferring that still small voice over other voices
That try to shine like gold of life's shallow illusion
She smiles sadly, telling her brave story
Though her tears might just fall like rain
Until her face lights up because of the glory
As she claims, sweet victory over her pain
She stands unafraid of baring her honest soul
Every scar turns to stars as she moves on past
Not all of life has been under her best control
But, she's found her way walking in a love that will last
She keeps walking her faith in the true God above
Who has seen and loved her while she walked through hell
And now she has a good man she trust with her love
Sometimes that's all that's needed in the trick of this tale

“I can scarcely contemplate a greater calamity that could befall this country, than be loaded with a debt exceeding their ability ever to discharge. If this be a just remark, it is unwise and improvident to vest in the general government a power to borrow at discretion, without any limitation or restriction.” – Robert Yates (1738-1801)

First Principles: The Constitution Is Not Subject To… Fluctuations. It Is To Have A Fixed, Uniform, Permanent Construction.
“Temporary delusions, prejudices, excitements, and objects have irresistible influence in mere questions of policy. And the policy of one age may ill suit the wishes or the policy of another. The constitution is not subject to such fluctuations. It is to have a fixed, uniform, permanent construction. It should be, so far at least as human infirmity will allow, not dependent upon the passions or parties of particular times, but the same yesterday, to-day, and for ever.” – Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution, 1833
