First Principles: Freedom Can Only Exist In the Society of Knowledge

“It is Favorable to liberty. Freedom can exist only in the society of knowledge. Without learning, men are incapable of knowing their rights, and where learning is confined to a few people, liberty can be neither equal nor universal.” – Benjamin Rush

Creativity’s Golden Seed

Coming soon to a mind near yours, the golden opportunity of a lifetime to have reasonable comfort while focusing on writing and photography.  More information soon… let the transition begin…

LEA28: Storm Septimus' Country of Mind Untitled- A Writer's Desk

Creativity's Golden Seed
by Michael Romani

The problem in its definition
Is the seeking of the why
Signaled change in new rendition
New goals to set and turned to rectify

First step: looking at what exists
Is there a reason it still persists
All appearances questioned in conception
So many of these are simply deception

What's important must stand out
Closing the deal without any doubt
Moving past our best self delusions
The scaling of the con's sold illusion

Often, the superficial catches the eye
The important question is know the why
There's a lot of bad in the making good
This truth of design is best understood

There is a balance to conformity
Absence of which leads to outright deformity
There in this notion of refined simplicity
Lies the truest crux of the best creativity

Life finds its momentum of gravity
Despite the trolls' worst severity
Five seconds of touch in application
Is the zenith of our final supplication

Main moments caught in their transition
Ease the mind without harsh imposition
Cutting to the chase of what we need
And in this, finding creativity's golden seed

First Principles: The End of Law Is To Preserve and Enlarge Freedom

“The end of law is not to abolish or restrain, but to preserve and enlarge freedom. For in all the states of created beings capable of law, where there is no law, there is no freedom.” – John Locke

Thought For the Day: Nothing Can Cure the Itch of Literature But the Scratching of A Pen

“When once the itch of literature comes over a man, nothing can cure it but the scratching of a pen.” – Samuel Lover, songwriter, composer, novelist, and artist (24 Feb 1797-1868)

And that precisely will fall more into place for this writer on 02/29/2020.  It is the dawning of a new era.  More to come as that day approaches rapidly….

More Forgiveness Than I Deserve

The part of the sermon that I caught today had to do with forgiveness.  Really I suppose it’s a matter of perception, correct? And it’s not about deserving.  We all deserve ‘justice’.  What we get is God’s mercy and love and through these we have forgiveness.

Serene Heart Community - Seeking Forgiveness

More Forgiveness Than I Deserve
by Michael Romani

Praising God for all His forgiveness
All the hope He gives of happiness
The moments that I live each day
Checking myself each time I pray

The truth of this is in the letting go
Keeping the trust of God's flow
Slights felt and all troubles given
Surrendered  knowing we are forgiven

The greatest gift is to forget
The wrongs done that we regret
Being glad in one another's presence
Keeping this in mind and conscience

Keeping our Christ's cross in mind
Leaving the strife and stress behind
Love lived in all of the blessed grace
I am so grateful for the Lord's embrace

Blessings of the Future Kingdom

Having missed most of church today, it was time to do a study on my own. Based in part on Mark 1:15:

Blessings of the Future Kingdom
by Michael Romani

Living in a world that is broken
Standing on the promises
The Lord has powerfully spoken
Living life on the premises

Oh, Father are we there yet
Crying eyes in the wilderness
Want to know if we're near yet
Looking for a bit of the blissfulness

With the faith of a mustard seed
We look toward that tomorrow
When the Lord will answer every need
Replacing joy for our lives of sorrow

In a Digory tree growing in the by and by
We look perhaps foolish in our ways
Stopping to pause as the world passes by
We look toward our sacred end of days

The keys of the kingdom can be found
By the believing hearts of us all
Human sin prevails and seems to abound
Until we respond to our Father's call

Despite those things that seem reality
We need to keep one eye toward the kingdom
His true glory is our very own immortality
Though the beatitudes are held to so seldom

I know that the days will come
When with tears wiped from our eyes
We will greet our Father's kingdom
In a world anew under a sweet sunrise

First Principles: Lawmakers Who Attempt To Take the Property of the People Are At War With the People

“Whenever legislators endeavor to take away and destroy the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary power, they put themselves into a state of war with the people, who are thereupon absolved from any further obedience.” – John Locke

Thought For the Day: In the Right Hands, Everything That You Give, You Get

“In a true partnership, the kind worth striving for, the kind worth insisting on, and even, frankly, worth divorcing over, both people try to give as much or even a little more than they get. ‘Deserves’ is not the point. And ‘owes’ is certainly not the point. The point is to make the other person as happy as we can, because their happiness adds to ours. The point is — in the right hands, everything that you give, you get.” – Amy Bloom

Approached Threshold

When you approach sacred places and times and spaces do you appreciate the transformative moment you are in?

Belliseria - Shady Corners - Finding Wonderland

Approached Threhold
by Michael Romani

Growing up in the present age
We are encouraged to seek after sages
Seeking our shifts in transformation
We pursue inner highways in navigation

Traveling at twice the speed of sound
And sharing with others what we've found
We speak in terms of self-actualization
Without seemingly sparking the realization

That as we approach the threshold
And our inner teacher speaks to scold
That all of us who shift in this surrender
Are forsaking the fight for being tender

We might make the outside world nervous
But are actually giving the world our service
Offered in the highest love given
In pursuing the truths by which we're driven

Standing just before the threshold
Hand to heart and then hand to ground
At peace as each journey unfolds
We reverently embrace all truth told

All of the ideas we've collided into
All of the respective points of view
Brings the voyager's new information
All transformative in its felt vibration

First Principles: We Cannot Be Happy Without Being Free; We Cannot Be Free Without Being Secure In Our Property

“Let these truths be indelibly impressed on our minds — that we cannot be happy, without being FREE — that we cannot be free, without being secure in our property— that we cannot be secure in our property, if, without our consent, others may, as by right, take it away — that taxes imposed on us by parliament, do thus take it away.” – John Dickinson

Just say no to communists masquerading as socialists masquerading as Democrats like Bernie Sanders.  He may be among the most honest of pick pockets but, he remains a pick pocket.  Until he can rationally explain how a man who didn’t have a job until his 40s has 3 houses and a ‘camp’, it seems a bit odd that anyone would think of him as anything less than a grand example of a hypocrite.   Moreover, where exactly did the money to buy three homes come from?  This inquiring mind would like to know where this across the board lack of basic math skills started for those supporting the Bern.  Then we have the related issues of his mandatory minimum wage of $15.00 an hour joined at the hip with his proclamations on healthcare.  Again, folks, basic math.  $15.00 an hour would put these folks over the limit for ‘free’ (nothing is free) healthcare and would conversely under his tax and health policies equate to these folks having a real income in the neighborhood of less than $7.00 an hour.  Basic math… oh and thinking.. both go a long way in approaching politicians who promise what sounds too good to be true.  There’s a reason for it.  It simply isn’t true.
