Bloated Ramble

Another sort of look at how monsters are just good challenged and not evil… 😉

Belliseria - Spiderwood - Lilacs On the Rocks - Slenderman Monster Sighting II
Bloated Ramble
by Michael Doyle

Humans fear the hours of the night
All the darkness and absence of light
And all of the sounds that bring human fright
Simply because these don't sound right

The crackle and the unexpected squeak
Send humans into a frenzy not to peek
With a shake and rattle at the door
It's just the creatures going out to explore

Bogeymen and women cast their spell
But though a fungus walks among us as well
These beings simply wish to be left alone
Which is why they hide in the dark and under stone

The superstitious say that the Devil walks
In parts of town of which so few dark to talk
But could that possible overstatement be less true
Then simply to believe difference frightens me and you

Truth to the other side we had panned as monstrosity
Is that they are too are not taken by our incivility
Why is it that lights have to shine so terribly bright
And what in the world is wrong with the darkest night

On now with the joys of our mutual horror show
Let's forget about all these frightful rainbows
Rubbing it deep with stink and filthiness
Because its widely known that being clean is silliness

There's nothing like the fester of the slum
Leprous in our notions and then some
Bloated until we're passing like the wind
But shared among ogres and other such friends

From Condemnation To Redemption

Based in part on Romans 8:

Old National Road II 08132020
From Condemnation To Redemption
by Michael Doyle

In Christ Jesus
There is no condemnation
The blessings of Jesus
Bring our firm redemption

Whatever the struggles had
The storms pass in safety
Finding joy even when sad
Resting in His harbor's security

I know that I will never perish
As long as Jesus has victory
His divine love that I cherish
Provides salvation from life's misery

No matter the wrongs transgressed
I know deeply without contemplation
That I have received what hadn't been guessed
In pure mercy I have reached redemption

The beauty of all of this
Is the truth that I now share
Despite the betrayal of a Judas kiss
The Lord has taken our deserved share

Now we have all the power to do right
And to keep ourselves pure and strong
Walking in peace, purity and in His light
Knowing God's path is where we belong

In these words, we are or can be set free
From this sinful world and its depravity
As Christ has taken on all of our sins
We are set free to walk in God's love again

Thought For the Day: In Truth It Is Life That Gives Unto Life – While You, Who Deem Yourself A Giver, Are But A Witness

“You often say; I would give, but only to the deserving, The trees in your orchard say not so, nor the flocks in your pasture.
Surely he who is worthy to receive his days and nights is worthy of all else from you.
And he who has deserved to drink from the ocean of life deserves to fill his cup from your little stream. See first that you yourself deserve to be a giver, and an instrument of giving.
For in truth it is life that gives unto life-while you, who deem yourself a giver, is but a witness.”

– Khalil Gibran, in The Prophet

First Principles: Freedom…Will…Abide…So Long As the Principles By Which It Was Acquired Are Held Sacred

“Freedom may come quickly in robes of peace, or after ages of conflict and war; but come it will, and abide it will, so long as the principles by which it was acquired are held sacred.” – Edward Everett (1794-1865)

Giving Love

Love in our fallen world is the calling from our heavenly Father.

Hapuna Surf Beach -Stepped Into Broken Tyme

Giving Love
by Michael Doyle

Giving love in a world of brokenness
Willing and ready in our un-spokenness
We would be His hands and feet
Giving love patiently as we entreat

That the world might hear His call
Living life within His divine law
We put our hope prayerfully to His ear
Confidently putting away our fear

We listen carefully and we heed
Our compassion overflows as the world needs
We strive to be safe and seamless
While taking care to not be dreamless

As we look out on this hurting world
Taking up God's battle with flags unfurled
Bringing our impact to our community
Living God's will to proclaim victory

God's promise kept as is willed
Will be kept truly and fulfilled
Everything abounds within His hands
We trust in your loving commands

Thought For the Day: We’re Going To Do Everything That We Can To Elect Biden and – After He’s Elected – Move This Country In As Progressive A Way As We Possibly Can

“We’re going to do everything that we can to elect Biden and — after he’s elected — move this country in as progressive a way as we possibly can.” – Senator Bernie Sanders

I believe Biden is just subterfuge.  First they sell America on the idea that Biden is a centrist who believes in our nation, patriotism and Christianity.  Then when he’s in they swing far Left.  I don’t know how any thinking person would believe it would be any other way.  They’ve made no secret of this.

First Principles: Freedom of Speech May Be Taken Away and Dumb and Silent We May Be Led Like Sheep To the Slaughter

“For if Men are to be precluded from offering their Sentiments on a matter, which may involve the most serious and alarming consequences, that can invite the consideration of Mankind, reason is of no use to us; the freedom of Speech may be taken away, and, dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep, to the Slaughter.” – George Washington

From a speech to his army officers that is well worth the reading:

Thought For the Day: Base Yourself In Loyalty and Trust

“Base yourself in loyalty and trust. Don’t be companion with those who are not your moral equal. When you make a mistake, don’t hesitate to correct it.” – Confucius

Entering the Afterlife

Started watching the point of origin series of Star Trek series with the girls.  The one that is more or less the prequel for the whole thing.  Got this out of the first episode:

USS Enterprise Planet Vulcan - Sector 1

Entering the Afterlife
by Michael Romani

Faith of heart takes us far
As we reach beyond the stars
Each day is its own beginning
Separated by the victories we are winning

In the name of honor, we find complexity
Where truly there is naught but simplicity
Belief in conflict imprints on the ground
Yet, is the way forward as humanity is found

Finding our languages in order to speak
As we push forward simply to peek
Onto new worlds left to explore
Hoping for peace and just a bit more

Ankle deep as we begin to swim
Though to other our prospects may seem dim
Going boldly to where we have not been
It's the free flown spirit of man freed again

Caring less for the creed of mass perfection
We head in what we hope is the right direction
We push on ever onward and forward
Needing to move ever toward

Despite the advent of this new generation
We find our problems in communication
New challenges find their explanation
As we dream behind this in our interpretation

Reaching out can be so problematic
As still we proceed being empathetic
Space is found to be larger than it seems
Still despite some cynicism, we'll chase our dreams
